Portrait en noir et blanc de l'artiste Angelo Vercoris

Angelo Vercoris

Born in 1967 in Paris, Angelo now lives in Valence [FR].

From his childhood in the Vercors, he has kept a taste for the great outdoors. He naturally combines sport and the mountains, writing and photography.

With a rudimentary film camera in hand, he tries his hand at portraiture and landscape in the course of his wonders.

After graduating from high school, he studied sociology in Grenoble and trained in the analysis of cultural works.

After his studies, he pursued a career as a communication officer and event organizer.

In the 2000s, he put his writing skills at the service of a publisher.

In 2002, he collaborated on the publication of J-Y Catherin's book, Belle de Lui by writing a text that accompanies photos of naked pregnant women. He then felt an artistic disturbance provoked by this alchemy of words and images. That's the erotic trigger.

He pursues new literary and artistic adventures during various creative encounters: his erotic sensitivity is sharpened and enriched by the practice of photography combined with intimate writing.

With one foot in Paris, he frequented exhibitions. His culture is nourished by famous or more confidential references from photography (Annie Leibovitz, Helmut Newton, Bettina Rheims, Patrick Demarchelier, Christophe Mourthé, Jean-Paul Four, Benoist Demoriane, Laurent Benaim)

His imagination is also inspired by the words of the most disturbing authors in literature (from Guillaume Appolinaire to Anaïs Nin, from Vladimir Nabokov to Serge Gainsbourg), as well as by painting, comics and cinema.

Angelo by himself

I am a man for whom photography is an old passion. While my job has required me to report on events, I always take a camera with me when I go on a trip or explore a city. My search remains emotion, often fleeting, sometimes unexpected, in the form of a light, an attitude or a look.

Emotion competes with beauty and often stands up to it in the photography of bodies and sensuality. Taking a photo is a disturbing way of keeping track of the unusual curves and rare sensations that arise from the encounter, an almost sacred term for me. Because capturing intimacy requires a moment of audacity between the photographer and his model. It requires a very special form of respect. Sharing these images is also a profound sign of trust in the viewer's gaze.

Angelo seen by Laure de Sismique & Sensuelle

I met Angelo several years ago, through writing. We first had a connection through the erotic texts we were writing. Very earthly, Angelo has made his way through the meanders of erotic emotions. In love with women, bodies and situations, he knows how to look at them and listen to them. He transforms these encounters into artistic and poetic beauties. His work is gentle. Your gaze will caress the skins of his muses. I invite you to join him and follow his benevolent sensitivity.
