Photo de l'artiste Stuttge avec une de ces sculptures

Théodore Stuttgé

Théodore Stuttgé was born in Schiltigheim, Alsace, in 1933.

After graduating from the art school near Strasbourg (1947-1951), the young sculptor won the Strasbourg Prize.

He signed his first contract in the Congo, where he did his military service. He designed the altar of the Protestant church in Brazzaville.

Back in France, Stuttgé worked from 1957 to 1976 exclusively as a professional sculptor, then from 1976 he became a professor of sculpture.

He died in 2019.

Artworks selected by Sismique et Sensuelle

I was seduced by the softness of Théo Stuttgé's sculptures.

He caresses the material to express the suave curves of women with softness and sensuality.

I perceive his fascination with female pleasure and their desire to be as close as possible to what they feel.

An invitation to softness and sensuality.
