autoportrait en dessin de l'artiste JCG

JCG

Born in 1952 in Annecy [FR], JCG studied architecture in Grenoble.

His profession and taste for discovering elsewhere has led him to live in New York, Morocco and Gabon. He is now back in his hometown, Annecy in Haute-Savoie [FR].

Passionate about his profession as an architect, he has always drawn for pleasure.

He agreed to open his drawing boxes and share some of his works with Sismique & Sensuelle.

We discover his innate, instinctive and inspired talent of the moment.

As an architect, drawing is one of my worlds. Simple tools and supports reinforce my identity as an amateur.

Exploration and creation as an architect, when I draw, I keep from the Beaux-Arts the necessity of the model.

I've known JCG forever. A charismatic figure, he is for me the symbol of the freedom to be oneself.

A very talented architect, his career has taken him to several countries. His certain and instinctive pencil stroke testify to his innate talent for capturing the essence of his subjects.

Beyond the line, the choice of colors is brilliant and serves the scene with subtlety.

I invite you to stand next to him to observe his models with his eyes.
