About the artist:

He invites us to enter his pictorial universe where fantasy vies with eroticism, with amorous reverie, but above all with reflection on the sexual freedom of each of us and the exploration of our intimacy in the broadest sense.

Sexuality and sensuality through color, black and white, and bodies expressing cries and heartfelt emotions: the artist admires the power emanating from our own desires for connection, desires chosen and embraced. He argues that his models are neither under someone's control nor suffering; quite the opposite. They choose this surrender with complete trust and awareness, and even demand to be respected without judgment.

William Penkli's artistic universe explores female sensuality and sexuality, aiming to raise awareness about the freedom of choice often relegated to the background by our patriarchal society. He now turns his attention to male sensuality and sexuality, again with the goal of broadening perspectives and encouraging open discussion. These themes are still evolving and will be explored in future paintings.

About the work:

More than a “fantasy,” it’s “wake me up inside me.” Then there are the details, like the brown color, which can evoke the cliché of sun-kissed skin, exoticism, and even the escape to a turquoise sea for letting go. But it also evokes wood, a natural and noble material, like a frozen wooden doll that can be posed at will in a moment of self-abandonment, stopping and suspending time. This headless headband, where every woman can identify and feel like she’s in the model’s place, makes the fantasy accessible to those who would like it but hesitate, allowing them to imagine themselves like that for a moment, inspiring them to take the plunge. So many women don’t dare to truly live their desires for fear of being judged.

This little nod to “Dali” with these mustache panties gives a slightly surreal air (a somewhat personal taste 🙂), but also a breath of fresh air that blows on
this woman who would take her clothes with her as the wind blew or as her desires dictated.
It's about gently listening: "Feel, Experience, Vibrate, Live, Love" the models seem to whisper to us.
