Caryatids – Distant Greek figures embodying an entire civilization. Yann Calvez drew inspiration from the aura of the caryatids, statues from Greek temples, to exalt the female body in montages where the staging tends to make these women fade into the background, disappearing into a mysterious destiny. Actresses in a story that belongs to them, they present themselves as ancient tragediennes.
